Dr. Donita McCants, DVM

Medical Director

Dr. Donita received her Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from the University of Georgia in 2011 and then went on to Tuskegee University to complete Veterinary training in 2015. She was raised in Georgia but state hopped coming from a military family background. She was a general practitioner in private and corporate practice for years and has some internship training at Blue Pearl in Maitland! She has strong interests in surgery, internal medicine, and dermatology which comes in handy with Florida allergies! She enjoys learning new and innovative techniques to treat your furry babies. She loves to spend time with has a son named Stephen, her husband Joe and their bernedoodle named Axel Rose! With her husband Joe, always they like to go events near and far. Dr. Donita is also fear free certified and loves all thing’s fitness and wellness! She competed in her first bodybuilding competition in June 2021. Dr. Donita enjoys giving back to the community by participating in various speaking engagements to inspire the youth. She also participates in events around Orlando, and is very active on her social media pages “Ask Dr. Donita” where she gives beyond first-class veterinary advice and speaks with others in the pet community to raise awareness about pet health and care! She helped found the company in August 2021 through a private investor which helped the business grow from an SUV to a Mercedes Benz Sprinter van in March 2022.
She is excited to service the pet community of Sarasota and Bradenton.

Joseph

Administrative Manager

Joseph started working with Dr. Donita in August 2021, and helped start the business as a veterinary assistant and administrative manager. This was his first time working in the veterinary field and was natural with gentle handling and patient care. He has built strong, lasting memorable relationships with pet parents everyday! Some still remember him a year later from various events around the community! He has always loved animals and technology; so he was able to merge both loves into his role in the company. He is the resident “handman” who helps keep the van functioning correctly and smoothly. He currently is helping part time as an assistant for relief as needed and is also a full-time software engineer.
